'Information is Physical'  download research paper in English or Dutch

When human made living systems (organisations, business, companies, industries, politics) are run within the boundaries or limits of reality, they can be steered by all relevant information and therefore maximally, but not totally controlled due to a non-linear universe. If limits of reality are crossed, such systems will inevitably enter entropy (disorder), and become beyond control. This is the Realimiteit Principle which, when adhered to, is the key to adjust and steer living systems back into homeostasis and autopoiesis (self-maintenance), i.e. within realimiteit, i.e. limitations of reality or boundaries of functionality, no longer harming human or non-human life, the environment or social cohesion.

Physics confirms that the universe consists of energy, matter and information which is used to create order and structure. Therefore information, just like energy, heat, pressure or speed of light obeys the universal laws of physics. Please observe the equation for Continuity (Evolution) (Symbol for infinity) = ((Life; all living systems: symbol Ankh + Information: symbol i) within limitations of reality or Realimiteit (R) x Perception (P)

Human Perception + Consciousness (P) is the closing feedback loop which determines reality

Desired goals can be achieved and be sustainable only when they exist and remain within the natural boundaries of functionality which are dependent on cognition, the mental action or process of acquiring knowledge through thought, experience and the senses, i.e. interaction with environment by a continuous exchange of information. We conclude that the condition for living organisms and sustainable organisations is learning and adaptation. Non learning, refusing to allow information, means such organisations and organisms are dying because they stopped communicating.

We are now able to predict if an organisation or ideology is stable and sustainable or not. This creates exciting new opportunities. Unstable or unsustainable practices can be phased out and replaced. We use the following two criteria to test Realimiteit:

a. Negative Interdependence:
an economic or industrial goal, a personal ambition or political ideology can only be achieved for some, but at the cost of others: people, the environment, society, ecological balance, etc. The protection of the environment, social cohesion, and human and non-human life are secondary objectives. This is unsustainable, but is the principal foundation of our current linear economy.

b. Positive Interdependence:
an economic, industrial goal; personal ambition or political ideology can be achieved for everyone. Protection of the environment, social cohesion and human and non-human life are the principal, central and shared objectives. This is sustainable and in fact would be creating millions of jobs as negative interdependent processes, industries or policies can be phased out and replaced by positive ones.
